From award-winning author Leigh Ellwood comes a wild and sexy tale about werewolves, were-panthers, and the women who love them.

Living in Bliss, New Jersey has it perks, unless you're a shifter looking for love or a human looking for peace and quiet. Not only does Calla Savitch, owner of Shear Bliss salon, have to deal with warring panthers and werewolves with overlapping appointments, she's fed up with their constant matchmaking attempts. The last thing she wants, especially, is a hook-up with the one shifter who broke her heart years ago.

I enjoyed the basic story line here in Sheer Bliss. I love shapeshifters - paranormal romance genres too. But I will start choosing narrations that are a more comfortable listen. Charity McGowan is a good reader, however a tad bit monotone. And I am learning that I just prefer a more stronger, fuller voice narration in my romance novels, especially if I have to listen to it at any length.

Hidden in the Nevada desert is America’s most advanced aerospace weapons-testing facility. Dreamland is the place where the nation’s top minds come to develop artillery and aircraft that push beyond the cutting edge. And where the Air Force’s top guns come to test them – on the front lines of a new era in warfare… As politicians push for more budget cuts, Colonel “Dog” Bastian must do what he can to salvage a key experimental program known as ANTARES - a method of merging electronic data with a pilot’s natural senses.

So I rate this book higher because of the fact that I am already expecting some good story at the onset. His other writings are stronger, and yes, I loved his Razor's Edge, his earlier book Pirahna and Revolution and Strike Zone. This one, Nerve Center, wasn't as grand as all the others, but I did enjoy his writings and listening to Jim DeFelice as always. Typically a romance thriller lover, my brothers persuaded me to give these series a chance, and I am glad I did!

I think the eyes of the male on the cover of this book "drew" me into some fort of trance which i am just coming out of and I don't even remember what the story was about! LOL How dare you trick me into buying an audio book with this 'come to me' cover. No really, it was a cute if not a bit on the cheezy audio.

The description was very intriguing - and of course- the hunky cover!

But really - how much can anyone pack in 30 minutes or less. Rushed and lacking a bit of

detail I must say. Decent voice, a bit on the exaggerrated end at times.

    Story

I've gotta say one thing first - Whatever you hear in the "audio sample" on these audio books, is pretty much what you're going to hear throughout the book. And that has been the case with every book I've purchased so far. Special Delivery is a perfect example of this. The audio book sample is humorous, clever and has both the male and female verbal and mental foreplay which is the pattern in this book from author, Elaine Chase.

Elaine's characters are thoroughly developed; they all have heart, some sort of emotional wall up, baggage, shortcomings, strengths, a sense of humor and attributes that make you both hate them and adore them.

Destiny Landon has a melodic and exceptionally pleasing and deeply rich voice as she narrates the career-minded, stubborn Roxanne Murdoch, with just the right amount of sexiness that sounds quite innate and unaffected, which I really do find to be a huge plus in a romance story. In romance genres, it is important that the author choose the right voice 'range', and lower registers are always the best choice to add to the warmth of the narration, just as Destiny possesses. Lee James' performance was a nice contrast with his grittier, masculine narration. The chemistry was strongly felt in this audio book and parts played out really well. Bram was entertaining and humorously witty.

The title was cleverly woven into the story's ending, which made me 'laugh one big guffah'. You will not have guessed this in a million years. Guaranteed!

My favorite part was new years eve, of course, and Bram's clever escapades in an effort to win Roxanne's heart - permanently. It was admirable how Roxanne never seemed to take the easy way out. She wanted to do what she thought was right; not taking advantage of people, and working her way up to the top. The book is full of conversation, and 'one-upsmanships' between the potential lovers (see .................. I didn't ruin for the rest of you guys!!)

What girl doesn't look her best in a man's shirt!

Ever since Mara walked into her brother's dorm room freshman year and came face to face with a shirtless Trent, she's known he was The One. He's been right there with her twin brother as her biggest supporter or shoulder to cry on, whichever she needs most. The problem? Trent has no idea how she feels. Well, it's her first birthday without her twin and Trent's coming over to keep her company. It's the perfect time to tease him a little. A skimpy yoga outfit and a few glasses of wine later, she plans to finally have Trent exactly where she wants him: in her bed.

I loved Andrew Heyl's narration on Teasing Trent. It is rare to find that husky, naturally sexy voice that is also animated in a male. I personally prefer female narrations on romance novels, but Andrew was magnificent. He was articulate, great inflection - he got into the story deep and drew out the main characters perfectly. Don't believe the one stars on this guy. He is hot in this erotica novel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also three days before her 24th birthday, a new love interest comes knocking, and her first love has returned. Neither man is what he seems, and Katherine may have to choose between them. And three days before her 24th birthday, Katherine must decide if this is all real, or if the strange visions she's been having are just a figment of her imagination.

    Story

Once again, I was nabbed by the cover on this audio book. However, the narrators voice was not what I would have expected as it does not match the exotic feel and beauty of the story itself. The story was very bewitching and entertaining, but my preference for a more rich timbre in a voice is the only thing that I would change. I noted that some narrators, in the samples, are using a 'character' voice, and their own voice emerges once the characters part has passed. I thought the initial voice may have been the narrator in a teenage character voice, but that was not the case, it was the main narration throughout, which is more applicable to a different kind of story. But she was very articulate and expressive, if that is what you like. Everyone likes something different, and just because a voice is higher pitched, but still performing a narration well, does not mean it is bad and deserves to be fairly rated on the quality of the exhibition.
