"Lots of Fun"
I would highly recommend this book. It's light hearted, and the characters are quite endearing. Yes, it's unrealistic, but it never claims to be. Just let yourself enjoy it, and you'll be immersed in the story and characters, and especially in the imagination of the main character. You'll thoroughly enjoy it from beginning to end. Plus, it is well read.
"Beautifully written"
A wonderful book. Well written, and such an interesting and creative way to learn history. I thought the narrator did a great job.
"amazing"
This is a wonderful, beautiful book. I keep recommending it to friends. And because of the amazing narration, I insist they listen to it.
"charming"
This book was an enjoyable listen from beginning to end. Although I have enjoyed all of the books in this series, I wasn't as happy with the last couple. This installation though was a strong as ever and I highly recommend it. The new characters brought into the series were well developed, and fun to get to know. The book was both humerous and heart warming. And as always, Lisette Lecat does a delightful job of narration and her style is well suited for the book.
"wonderful"
This second book in the series continues in the wonderful story telling voice of Smith. I love the gentle plot twists he puts in, and his character development is superb. The reader also does a wonderful job, adding character to an already rich book, and I would rather listen to then read it.
"not so"
American Short Stories, Yes, "Great" American short stories, not really. Although there were some enjoyable stories, overall, the stories were not very good, I did not feel the readers did the best job, and there were some issues with sound quality. After listening to half of the stories, I gave up on the collection. There are so many wonderful books available on audible, including American classics, that I would not waste my time with this.
