Always a pleasure to read Julie Garwood books. This is one of my all time favorites. I was unsure of this particular narrator. But the story is so good it really doesn't matter. I rank this one right up there with The Bride. I laughed, cried, and held my breath. Well done indeed.
Both of these royal book's were a kickback easy read. I am in hopes there will be a third book on the other brother Max. Caitlin Davies southern accent was a little off. But certainly did not take away from the story line. I'm really glad that I read Suddenly Royal first, as Recklessly Royal picked up and continued the story.
While each of these books could stand alone. It's a pleasure to read them in order. Once again I can't say enough about the narrators of each of them. James Daniels did a great job, just as the other's in bringing the story home. This family is what everyone longs for their families to be. When all of the Quinn's get involved in a problem look out, it's going to get taken care of. Tickled my funny bone when the dead grandma started talking to Seth. The way Nora Roberts ended this book makes me wonder If she might come back with another one. Wow if she does I will be first in line to get it.
What a neat series this has been. Although some of the subject matter was somewhat repulsive. It was so proficiently put together that it drew me right into the stories. Which in turn kept me looking forward to the next book. Gee hard to believe there are such self serving women running around. Makes a person want to rid the world of them and the perverts they associate with. Both Guy Lemonier and David Stuart were perfect for the narration of each story. As for Nora Roberts she certainly doesn't need me to tell her what a talented writer she is. All she needs do is read her own books. Then go read one of these new authors who try to create their stories with smutty sex scenes, Please do not misunderstand A well done sex scene is not in the least offensive. But crying out loud not when they are half of the damn book? They are certainly not for me or people with my taste.
The only thing that saved this book from being tossed out was the narrator. Twenty seven chapter's of sleazy conduct, by people we should be honored to look up to is a bit much. Why in the hell this author couldn't finish the story, after 12 hours and 27 chapters is beyond me. I will be thinking very hard before buying the next book in this series.
Very realistic family life in my opinion. Everybody has their ups and down times. But most learn to deal with it one way or another. This particular family is a wonderful warm one. Love this small island town. Would like to see Ms. Kantra do a book about the police chief. I liked this particular narrator just fine and also think she did a fine job.
Story line was fair. But certainly could have use at least half of the drawn out sex scenes. In fact I spent a lot of wasted time with my earphones hanging loose around my neck. Jillian Macie did a decent job of narrating. And like I said before the story is ok. If you like this kind of stuff in a book knock yourself out. Just is not my kind of entertainment.
5 stars for all the books in this series. This one gave us more of an interaction between the ghost Amelia, Lily and Harper. Scared me pea green in more than one part. Of course not being real brave with thing's I can't fight. It would scare me silly. Seems as though when Ms. Roberts writes a good book, no one does it better for sure. And this whole series has been very good as far as I am concerned. The narration is also very well done by Susie Breck.
I also would like to see more of Lorretta Chase's book's on audible. Along with Kate Reading narrating them. Both of these people are extremely gifted talent's. I am in hopes that other of her books are as entertaining as this one was. I love a book that makes me laugh out loud. Women in this particular time period were so limited in choices concerning their lives and what was acceptable. But this one ran the men in circles, until she ran into her guy. And then the contest of one upping the other one was on.
I swear every one of Kathleen Brooks, Bluegrass books were excellent. What a pleasure it is to read or listen to any of these books. This particular book was right on the mark. Absolutely love the interaction of all the characters in the whole series. Love all of the people but really love the kickass attitude and ability of Annie and Bridget. Together with Ahmed they were unbeatable. Gee really hate to see this series end. But will be waiting for anything else written by Ms. Brooks. And do hope they will be narrated by Eric G. Dove.
This fan simply adores all of Julie Garwood's novels. No matter if they are from far in the past or modern day. She pull's me right into the book. I love the way she brings the clan names through time into her present day F.B.I. series. The narration on this particular book was simply wonderful. Mikael Naramore did an excellent job. I swear it was a pure pleasure to listen to him read. This small gang of young boy's, jump right into the heart and stay there all the way through the book. Which sets you up for the following book's.
