Inspirational, motivating, great
It made me want to be a better man, a better American, and a more active in my community.
It's more than just a story or biography, it's a motivational book. Inspiring us to be the best we can be.
I enjoyed Hood, but this one was hard to follow.
I didn't like the first person style going back and forth between the story and dialog with the scribe.
Too much effort to make the characters react and say things to match the worst behavior of any character. This made it impossible to like any of the characters.
The dialog felt forced and very mean spirited.
The narration was the only good part of the book
No, I didn't even get through the half way point before giving up on the book.
I did not finish the book. It was too unenjoyableto continue. I could not reach the point that cared about the characters.
This week this one is my favorite.
I am listening to this one for a second time and it is just as good. Both the story and Fred Berman's narration. His voices and character development is incredible. I love this series.
All of them, each comes alive so well, with Fred's talented voice control.
Voices and ability to express emotion in his voice.
To not be published
The second book in the dragon keeper series, by Robin Hobb.
Yes, not good
I spent most of the first few chapters wondering what was going on.
I kept asking myself, how can there be so many words without saying anything.
I also felt like I was missing something.
It reminded me of listening to an Abridged book. What should have been big scenes, where only a couple sentences long. I actually rewound it a couple of times thinking I had dosed off and missed an important part, only to find I hadn't.
Save your credit for something else. You will regret it.
I actually gave up half way though the first part before giving up on the book completely. My daughter had the paper back of this book, and she agreed with all my comments.
The narrator did nothing to help the book.
