Thousands of years ago, fairies and humans fought a great battle for the magical island of Ireland. When it became clear that they could not win, all of the fairies moved below ground, except for the 8th Family, the demons. Rather than surrender, they used a magical time spell to take their colony out of time and into Limbo. There they have lived for decades, preparing to exact their violent revenge on humans.

Clever. Eoin is a very clever writer who always give Artemis and co. a new challenge. I love that it always gives me a chuckle or two!

MacKayla Lane's life is good. She has great friends, a decent job, and a car that breaks down only every other week or so. In other words, she's your perfectly ordinary 21st-century woman. Or so she thinks...until something extraordinary happens.

What would have made Darkfever better?

    Less heaving and more plot.

What do you think your next listen will be?

    Not anything by this author.

Would you be willing to try another one of Joyce Bean’s performances?

The fact that she could read this book without cracking up is incredible.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Darkfever?

Most of them. All bodice ripping, internal heaving.

    Any additional comments?

    I couldn't finish it.
