Grover Gardner does a great job with all of Lois McMaster Bujold's Vorkosikan series! Her dry humor in this series is perfectly captured by Mr. Gardner and really adds to the story.I have found all of these books (including this one) very entertaining and laugh out loud funny! Be careful in public, your bursts of laughter may startle others! Although Bujold has an entirely different style, I rate her with David Weber and John Ringo. Good clean fun!

While not the same blood and guts of the Honor war novels it gives good background to the series. Some question the YA category, but it is about a teenaged protagonist and that just makes sense to me. I do enjoy not having to dive for the pause button when my children walk into the room when I have the speakers on too! Overall, I enjoyed it and felt it adds to the Honor series as background for the Harrington family, Manticore system and the "Honor Universe" in general. I haven't listened to a book by David Weber that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed!
