At its core, The Power of Habit contains an exhilarating argument: The key to exercising regularly, losing weight, raising exceptional children, becoming more productive, building revolutionary companies and social movements, and achieving success is understanding how habits work. Habits aren’t destiny. As Charles Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

What would have made The Power of Habit better?

Stuck with the facts and how to change you own habits.

What could Charles Duhigg have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Relayed the information, instead of getting lost in stories that only served to get me lost.

Would you be willing to try another one of Mike Chamberlain’s performances?

    no

    Any additional comments?

I found this book monotonous and slow. It wasn't at all what I was looking for. I was very disappointed, and regretted downloading it. Total waste of a credit, as far as I am concerned.

Sparks fly when a hardboiled reporter meets a handsome senator. But a political scandal - and attempts on her life - could drive them apart. Or maybe adversity could draw them into a bond even more intense than their steamy sexual embraces.

Pamela Clare creates the most interesting characters, and throws them into the most dire situations. The emotional turmoil and intense sex strike right to your labido, while the intrigue and suspense play through a well devloped story line. Your investment in these characters will lead you into the next book. Then there is Kaleo Griffith, the man's voice oozes sexy, he has an amazing way of distinguishing character voices, and conveying the intensity of the situation. Use your credit wisely, start with this one.

With this one Ms. Roberts brings you into the lives of a fictious rock band from thier beginings in the 60's to thier comming to terms with life in the 90's. The focus of the story is Emma, and how she deals with the life she was thrown into. Sex, drugs, and rock n'roll; social movements, the death of political and rock icons, Woodstock, murder, homosexuality, abusive cycles, dysfunction, and of course love and loyalty. A down and dirty voyeuristic look into life in the glass house. I fear I must warn you though, this book is a bit dark, not a light hearted romance story. This one goes on the re-read list.

This is the book that cements your bond with these characters, and renews your faith in enduring love. Kudos to the devine Ms. G for taking me where I didna' expect to go, even though I thougth I had some idea what was going to happen next. Davina Porter's performance is spot on, her range of feminine and masculine voices, children, and multiple languages and accents make her narration a pleasure to listen to. I laughed, I cried, I felt anxiety (in a good way), but now I am left with the joy of having consumed a great book, mixed with the emptiness of what to go to next, for everything else pales in comparison.

A hand-picked cadre of warriors, they had the fierce courage of their Scots forefathers, combined with the stealth and cunning of the Indians who lived beside them in the wilderness. Battling the French in a no-holds-barred combat, they forged a new brand of honor, became a new breed of men - MacKinnon's Rangers. Iain MacKinnon had been forced to serve the British crown, but compassion urged him to save the lovely lass facing certain death at the hands of the Abenaki. He'd defied his orders, endangered his brothers, his men and his mission, all for a woman. But when he held Annie's sweet body in his arms, he could feel no regret.

I liked this story verra verra much. The characters were well written with depth and a little messed up in the head, the stuff of good romance novels. Anxious moments, scarring events, an abhorrent villain, and emotional turmoil. Kaleo Griffith's narrative talents are excellent, his smooth sensual voice only adds to the impact of the story. If I have one complaint, it is on the part of the writer for the overuse of the word bonney as a descriptive. Overall, definitely worth a credit, and will probably give this one (the whole series) a second listen.

They meet in a clash of swords, drenched in the moonlight of Britain's rugged eastern coast: Captain Jack, his handsome features etched in silver and shadow, his powerful physique compelling "Kit" Cranmer to surrender. He is her dream lover come vividly alive, and his command of the smuggling gang is absolute. His all-knowing gaze penetrates her disguise as the male leader of a rival gang with frightening ease, and his "punishment" with kisses leaves her maidenly modesty in tatters.

If you like lots of deliciously descriptive sex in your romance novel, then this is the one for you. So much that I actually forgot the plot line. Mayhaps, it is a good thing, because the plot of the story was weak. Good characters, predictable outcome, and good narration, worth a credit.

Not what I expected from one of my favorite authors. Her usual flow and character distinction seemed to be lacking, which made this one a little hard to follow. While it isn't a bad story, there is mystery, history, and intrigue. I just like a little more romance in my romance novel, you have to wait till the very end for what little there is. I don't usually discredit the narrator, but I feel that this one didn't match the character and left me with an odd perception which I couldn't let go of. While it wasn't a complete wast of a credit, I just won't listen to it again, as I have done with Ms. Kearsley's other books.

Winner of the Quill Award and the Corine International Book Prize, Diana Gabaldon is the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the Outlander series. This fourth novel featuring popular character Lord John Grey is told both from Lord Grey’s perspective and from that of Jamie Fraser, the star of the Outlander series.

This is the story that fills in the major pieces of the friendship between Lord John and Jamie Frasier. I like Lord John, but in the Outlander series. I should have just gone to this one first and skipped the Private Matter and Brotherhood of the Blade. Claire was everpresent in this story, and I felt her loss through Jamie. The double narration was not as bothersome as some listeners would lead you to believe, I barely noticed.

Laura Kinsale knows how to build a character, strong, free spirited, and emotionally screwed up. Nicholas Boulton narrative is spot on, he brings the characters emotional mess to life. This story went somewhere that my mind has not planned, and I like that. Be it the 18th, or the 21st century, people have been screwed up for a long time. This story is a not so smooth journey through the land mines and emotional road blocks that people put up against getting hurt, and the anguish of not knowing how to get the love they desire. I love this author, and this narrator, you will enjoy this to the very end and then be a little sad when it is done.

I wanted to savor it to make it last, but I could not stop listening. The way she put you in Christian's mind, to feel his confusion and frustration, was so clever, it made my heart ache for him. I am captured by this kind of story, that love doesn't always fit into a neat and tidy little package, love the prince, warts and all. I thought I knew the way the story would go, then it took a different turn, which added more depth to the story and the characters. The excellent narration only added to my enjoyment of the story. But the very best part is that, long after you have finished listening to the book, your mind hasn't yet put it down. Laura Kinsale is a gifted author.

What disappointed you about A Clash of Kings?

The story dragged from one sad event to another.

What could George R. R. Martin have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Have something good happen.

Would you be willing to try another one of Roy Dotrice’s performances?

His narration confused me with little differentiation of characters. Maybe if there were another narrator, possibly female for the children and women characters.

    Any additional comments?

I thought the first book was ok, not great, but mildly entertaining, so I would go to the next book. I tried, twice, to listen to this audio book, to no avail. The second time, I gave up at the end of the first section. This book is wildly popular so, I thought I must me missing something. If I did, I didn't see what it was the second time either. I guess I can wait until it comes to regular tv in 10 years.
