Another great one from Dick Francis.....this one just a bit different from his others, but still a super read!
Yes, Francis always keeps me there!
If I had know this was a young adult novel, I may not have purchased it. No matter how much I love Carl Hiaasen. But I did purchase it, and sat thru the whole thing. Didn't kill me. As a matter of fact, was not too bad. But I really wanted the "full Skink" experience
Skink is always my favorite. Things with him are black or white, no in between.
No, never listened to him. Not too bad. But his tone is so soft & soothing, it made me sleepy. Don't know if that's a bad thing or not.
Ok for young readers.
Yes, a good listen. Moves along fast, and keeps your attention!
Similar to the Stephanie Plum series, in more than one way
She was good.
This book made me laugh out loud!! I swear, the looks I got while sitting at a red light, laughing so hard, I cried!!!
Just a good read. So glad I stumbled on this series.
Fast moving, quick thinking characters, and a good listen!
Some might say a typical Janet Evanovich style. But I have to say, I may like Kate better than Stephanie!!
He's just good. Love the inflection he gives to some dialoge
While it was all very good, I think the ending, like a light turning on
Definitely worth the time it takes to listen. Will be listening to the whole series.
Well, maybe not. Although, I didn't have anything else to listen too. The three stories were all the same, the characters were all the same.
Maybe made the characters more different from each other. But really, I think this was a not too good attempt to follow Evanovich's formula for a good read. Just did not work here
not too well
No, no way. Just not that much going for any one of these three stories,
While some of Ms Halliday's works are ok, this is not one of those. Save your credits
Just a good listen, that's why!
Pretty much. Although Ms Evanovich does have a formula, it's one that is loved by millions.
I don't think I could listen to a Stephanie Plum novel without Ms King doing the reading. She has all the characters down to a science!
Sure, that would be just plain fun, as long as I had a bag of donuts,or maybe Cluck in a bucket!!
Just plain fun!!
Don't know about the print version, but the audio was rocking!!!
Dick Francis was always one of my favorite authors. His son has continued in his father's footsteps. Such a joy!!
Oh, wow!! Mr Jarvis, what can I say? His voice gives texture to the story, Just a pleasure to hear.
I sure could have. And then, listen to it over again!
Normally, when a popular author passes away, you are left with only their body of work. So, you can read them over again, but never get any new material. With Felix Francis taking up the pen to follow his father's "word prints", we all can look forward to many new great reads (or listens) in the future!!
Oh yes. Evanovich was on point with this one. The plot rolls along, old characters stay true to form, new characters keep it spicy
Grandma, in a thong,on a stripper pole
That might require a spoiler alert. Let's just say Janet E makes me laugh out loud.
Oh, there could be so many.
Evanovich knows how to keep you craving more
Yeah, maybe make it original? Really, not that bad. But after listening to the series one after another, they do get predictable, and a bit boring
No special reaction
Ok, I guess. Heard better
no, not at all
I guess, maybe. Entertaining, but nothing special
No special reaction
She really doesn't use different voices
Maybe. The series is a knockoff of the Stephanie Plum books. So, if you like those, these will be familiar. Not quite as good, but still entertaining
I got the whole series, listening to them in order, one after another. No better or worse than the last one I listened to,
no, not at all
