I'm not even half way through the book and the sound of this stuffy nose narrator is so annoying! His woman's voice sounds like a deeper more stuffy nosed whine with a lisp! The thing is that the story itself is really good, so I'm continuing on... hand this guy a tissue

So when wealthy Upper East Side matron Julia Drusilla calls him one cold February night, he jumps at the chance to work what seems to be a straightforward (and lucrative) case. Julia needs Perry to track down the whereabouts of her beautiful yet aimless daughter, Angelina, who is about to become a very wealthy young heiress.

I expected more from this book. Too much internal dialogue. I forced myself to hang in there until the end as I thought it would surely get good at some point, but it didn't and the ending was dumb. Don't waste your credit.

Edgar Award nominee Robert Crais’ L.A. Requiem is a gritty, harrowing look into the minds of a serial killer and the men determined to stop him. Elvis Cole and former cop Joe Pike have been partners in a detective agency for 12 years. After an ex-girlfriend of Pike’s disappears, the girl’s father asks them to help the police with the search. When the missing persons case turns into a hunt for a killer who has been stalking victims in Los Angeles, Cole and Pike find themselves battling both a hostile police department and a madman.

This is by far, one of my favorite books by Crais! It is interesting, clever, suspenseful, and at times, funny enough to make me laugh out loud! With all the twists and turns, I found myself on the edge of my seat and could not help but want more!

Academy Award nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) rocks this mock bedtime story, capturing a hilarious range of emotions as the voice of a father struggling to get his child to sleep. Go the F**k to Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing blissfully off to dreamland.

    "Boring, NOT funny and stupid"
    Overall

The only good thing about this is Samuel L. Jackson's familiar voice. The rest is not funny and is redundant.

Sin City. An artificial oasis of pleasure, spectacle, and entertainment, the gambling capital of America has reinvented itself so many times that it's doubtful that anyone knows for sure what's real and what isn't in the miles of neon and scorching heat. Las Vegas is considered the ultimate player's destination, no matter what your game. Las Vegas is the true city that never sleeps, where fortunes are made and lost every day, and where snake-eyes aren't found just on a pair of dice.

This is a group of shirt stories that you hope may connect to eachother in some way and yet doesn't. It is as interesting as reading college essays...one after the other after the other. I had to quit listening

After 24 years in prison, convicted killer Jason Jessup has been exonerated by new DNA evidence. Haller is convinced Jessup is guilty, and he takes the case on the condition that he gets to choose his investigator, LAPD Detective Harry Bosch.

    Overall

I was really excited at the beginning of this book and it had hooked me right away. But the ending was really obvious and left me feeling dissappointed. Holler wasn't his usual brilliant self and we didn't see anything great from our favorite "Ace" detective Harry Bosch.
