I love mystery books and would not usually choose a fiction book. I am so glad that I chose this one.
I do not care how worldly we women get. You scratch the surface and there is an Ivy there.
A very well written and well read book.
I cannot agree with the ratings others have given this book. The voices were VERY irritating. The story trended to unbelievable.
Why did I buy this book? I hate knitted garments and refuse to sit around with a knitter. Predictable waste of a good subject. I knew she was someone's daughter the minute she hit the scene.
This book is courtesy of One Click Digital. PLEASE check to see if your library works in conjunction with One Click digital. IT IS FREE. You have to go to library to sign up and it is a little hard to get software right ,but it is so worth it. I love my Audible account but I love the free books I get via my library account via One Click Digital. Also, ck if library has other digital accounts.
Not a bad book. Different plot, likeable characters. However, could someone tell the author that girls do not have Adams apples.
Just too unbelievable, too gory, and I really do not like the snotty know it all characters. The story had some good points ,but to few to get me past the unbelievable TV like forensics and access to information. Doesn't really happen.
I do not know, seems like story is good with describing characters( I like that) but most conversations seem to be distracting tactics and red herring situations. You might say a good example of red herring mystery writing.
This could have been a darn good book. Loved the identifying corpse via earring and final (but unbelievable) ending. Most of the book was taken up with the mystery of which handsome man gets beautiful but struggling woman. No porn or sex though (good thing) Just too much who is the winner and 'this person could have done it because' speculation.(Anne Perry style speculation filler) Give up more clues and let us figure it out for ourselves.
The reader did 1 good voice. However, she never separated Chapters and there was little separation between characters lines. One would be talking and then all of the sudden a different character was telling their story.
I hope you do not start with this book in the series. Definately not my favorite, maybe because I already know the stories of that hurricane and do not like ghost stories ( really don't) The rest of the series is great.
I noticed they did not put my first revue in but if this is sold as mystery ,I think people should know there is a lot of very baudy sex and sex talk in the book. It might even sell it quicker. Dirty dirty, I had to read it twice to make sure. LOL
Just Blarney stone and psychobabble. Not a real mystery at all. Could have been good but the blarney was and easy out for and explanation.
