"Excellent"
I have read many versions of the life and loves of Henry VIII and I can honestly say, I enjoyed the Boleyn Inheritance more than most. The narrators were wonderful and the girl portraying Katherine Howard was excellent. She did a marvellous job portraying just how silly and immature the poor girl was. I laughed at her many antics and couldn't help but feel sorry for her unfortunate end at such a young age.
This is the first Philippa Gregory I have read but it won't be the last. She has just joined my list of 'must reads' I can thoroughy recommend this book.
"Enjoyable and Easy Listen"
I found this book to be a very easy listen and I enjoyed the storyline - somewhat predictable but still a good "read" on a rainy day. I also loved the voice of the narrator and think she did a great job with all the different characters. I will look for more books by this author.
"Disappointing"
I also bought this book on sale. I usually find Nora Roberts pretty easy reading but this book was/is (because I don't think I can even bother to finish it) pretty awful. The characters are dull; the narration is boring and even though I love dogs, I was bored to death.
"spellbinding"
I have finished listening to Stieg Larsson's trilogy and am sorry to have it end. I don't know when I have enjoyed a book(s) so much. If only we could look forward to future writings by this author and the narrator, Saul Reichlin, was absolutely fantastic. All in all a wonderful "listen" and I think, after a while, I may re-read all three.
"Great Listening"
I really enjoyed this book; loved the narration and was sorry to have it end. I can hardly wait to read the next one and see what else the characters have in store for us.
