    What a great insight to history. I mean, really, history is distorted by the winners especially as taught in our great (education?) system. The 1800's and early 1900's are normally left out, barring war. If you read things as seen by the alternative viewpoint, as in the "Heath Anthology of American Literature", a straight from the horses mouth collection of American writing, and compare it to what exists in this particular view of history...'nuff said. The kids love it! and they're preteens....sweet.
