What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If the novel was eradicated from all libraries - the only way I could justify the time wasted on it.

What was most disappointing about Harlan Coben’s story?

This is no story - the writer was obviously being paid by the word, somewhere along the way we missed the plot....

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Well, the narrator should stop pretending that he is reading to little children.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Stay Close?

How many scenes were there again? How about excising the whole lot and starting afresh?

Any additional comments?

The writer and the narrator should be forced to sit in a cubicle together and read alternate chapters to each other. If they survive the ordeal - they should be made to do it again. Don't read the reviews - they're all BS - anyone who gave this more than 3 stars should consult an undertaker - brain death is obviously imminent. I normally don't bother to review, but drivel is drivel and one shouldn't have to fork out credits for this, or does Audible not have any sort of quality control. I want my money back!

I enjoyed Absolute Power, but found Last Man Standing dull. I know it is fiction - but you can only expect your reader to suspend disbelief for so long.... The plot was full of holes and ludicrous. Maybe the next one will jolt me.

What does Stephen Hoye bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I didn't like SH's narration at first, I found his voice a tad tedious, but he won me over.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I really liked it, just like I found "The forgery of Venus' enthralling.

Mr. Gruber is making me lose sleep.

Interesting stuff - but when I purchase a book I expect to get access to everything - like the password to access all the tables and diagrams as suggested by the narrator. I emailed the publishers to see how I could access the above but got no response. It's like buying half a book. How much would it take to say,"Look, to access the drawings and doodahs will be an extra five dollars, but to have the gall to call the publication - unabridged is a load of shift. Very disappointed, I was hoping Mr. Keller was going to help me in my real estate career but he didn't deliver the goods. I think Audible should be taken to task for only 1/2 selling something. I wouldn't have purchsed the audiobook if I knew that I wasn't getting the 'unabridged' version - which should give me access to book's website.
