A book that pulls you into a new world. I just completed the first three books, and rate all 5 stars, and I rarely give 5 stars. The story line kept pulling me in. I would think I would stop at the next chapter, but I want to hear more and more. Modesitt does a great job developing the characters and the story. A must read (listen).
While not about a wizard, instead a 2000+ y.o. Druid, the world of magic and supernatural are involving and alluring. While I have listen to the first three, I am eager for the fourth.
Many comments have been made about the change in narrators. I was disappoint to hear of the change, but bought the book anyway. I was hesitant to buy the book with the change of narrators and the negative comments by some posted here. All in all, I think Glover is a great narrator for this book. It does take getting use to, but after a few chapters, I accepted Glover as Dresden. I enjoyed the book and enjoyed Glover???s reading. Enjoy.
I believe this was a fitting end to the part of the portfolio. It wrapped up many of the storylines for Rhenn, but left opening for the adventure to continue. My understanding is that Modesitt is writing a prequel to first three books, I look forward to those books, and hope there are sequels to this storyline. A very enjoyable world that he has created.
