Margo Sullivan had everything a young woman could ask for. But while growing up along the rocky cliffs of Monterey, she couldn't help but dream of bigger things. The daughter of the Templeton's stern Irish housekeeper, Margo had been treated like a member of the family. Deep down, she knew that money could not buy the one thing she craved most - her mother's acceptance. Maybe things would be different if she could be sweet like Laura - or had Kate's shrewd head for business.

After starting the second book in the series, I knew the story and knew exactly what the third would be. I like Nora Roberts, but this was so predictable it was a waste to buy the other books. Bought the series at same time when it was on sale.

For more than 300 years, Bluff House has sat above Whiskey Beach, guarding its shore - and its secrets. But to Eli Landon, it’s home.… A Boston lawyer, Eli has weathered an intense year of public scrutiny and police investigations after being accused of - but never arrested for - the murder of his soon-to-be-ex wife. He finds sanctuary at Bluff House, even though his beloved grandmother is in Boston recuperating from a nasty fall. Abra Walsh is always there, though.

Her books are becoming rewrites of previous books. I remember other books with lost treasures to only be found by love. The ideas in the book are copies of other books. Change the characters and a few other things. The narrator was boring as well. I used to love Nora Roberts books, and JD Robb, but she has dried up and it's not cutting it for me anymore. I will wait for reviews on future work before purchasing it, hate to waste my money.

Cooper has never been a man to settle in one place, and Thunder Point was supposed to be just another quick stop. But Cooper finds himself getting involved with the town. And with Sarah Dupre, a woman as complicated as she is beautiful.

Very typical Robyn Carr. It is just like Virgin River, a different location and different characters. Right from the beginning you know just what is going to happen. Having Therese Plummer as narrator you kind of think of the Virgin Rivers names as she does the new characters. Sometimes I just like an easy going book with some romance, so this fits the bill very well. Nothing really to the book, easy listening.

On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, a woman lies dead at the bottom of a brownstone’s basement steps, stripped of all her valuables. Most cops might call it a mugging gone wrong, but Lieutenant Eve Dallas knows better. A well-off accountant and a beloved wife and mother, Marta Dickenson doesn’t seem the type to be on anyone’s hit list. But when Eve and her partner, Peabody, find blood inside the brownstone, she knows Marta’s murder is the work of a killer who’s trained, yet not professional or smart enough to remove all the evidence.

Like the last book, where are all the players? This is Eve and Peabody, a little Rourke and very little of anyone else. The story was okay, not one of the best by far, it misses being fun. I usually have a good laugh here and there in the books, but it's missing that again, like the last book. So sorry to see the series take a giant step down. I enjoyed the series cause it had a good mystery plot, and humor rolled into one book. She can end the series anytime she wants, I have just about lost interest.

Hayley Phillips came to Memphis hoping for a new start, for herself and her unborn child. What she found was a home, said to be haunted but surrounded by beauty and friends - including Roz's son Harper. But to Hayley's chagrin, she has begun to dream about Harper - as much more than a friend. If Hayley gives in to her desire, she's afraid the foundation she's built with Harper will come tumbling down. Especially since she's begun to suspect that her feelings are no longer completely her own.

Romance part predictable. The story itself kept you listening. Enjoyed the series, Nora always does a great job. Most are so predictable its hard to listen to after second book, not the case with this one. I only reviewed last book since it was a series. No regrets on purchase, buy it you wont be sorry.

I was enjoying the book, but it didn't end. The next book is like the next chapter, and I hate when they force it on you. Lucky the next was available just a few days after I finished first. After I finished the second, found the same ploy in place. Found I no longer cared to see how it ends. Not a bad story, but got bored with the same stuff.

First, the unthinkable: a security breach at a secret U.S. government facility unleashes the monstrous product of a chilling military experiment. Then, the unspeakable: a night of chaos and carnage gives way to sunrise on a nation, and ultimately a world, forever altered. All that remains for the stunned survivors is the long fight ahead and a future ruled by fear—of darkness, of death, of a fate far worse.

I enjoy Noras books so much. I needed some easy listening, not wanting to keep track of a lot of characters. It fit the bill, it was easy, fun, interesting and I am sorry to say I think now have all her books. I enjoyed it, wish I could find more that weren't just four or five hours. I don't like short books. She just can't write them fast enough for me. Good book, worth the credit.

RITA recipient Robyn Carr is the number one New York Times best-selling author of the wildly popular Virgin River books. The 20th in the series, My Kind of Christmas follows Patrick, the youngest Riordan brother, as he recovers from a tragic loss. After his best friend dies, Patrick tries to forget his sorrow in the arms of Jack Sheridan's beautiful niece, Angie. Now the couple just wants to be left alone this Christmas- but their families have other ideas.

I was needing a good story. It is another book that you know the ending right from the start, but that's what Robyn's books are all about. Nice story, listened all day, put me a calm mood and the day just flowed. Now I just have to wait for a longer book, hope it doesn't take too long.

It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged, some pushing and shoving. Then the madness descended. And after 12 minutes of chaos and violence, 80 people lay dead.

Who wrote this? None of the usual sex play between Eve and Roake, not even once.. No play between Roarke and Eve at all. No Peabody and McNab remarks either. No Summerset, Mavis,Leonardo, etc. It's all a cops story any author could have written. It doesn't even feel like a book of the "In Death Series". As a matter of fact, I don't consider it part of the series. Its a stand alone book, more of Nora Roberts story. Should the next book, lack the laughs I usually get when listening I will give up the series completely. I used to finish listening to a book and check constantly to see when the next was coming out. I don't care much about the next except to see if she is back on track or if I should find a new series.
The story was good, I do like Nora Roberts, but this was just a book that had a few characters from In Death Series in it. To me it was a huge let down. Hope it doesn't happen again, I used to love the series.
