This book definitely captured the tumultuous feelings of adolescence. I did not expect much from this book, but I was definitely surprised. I fell into the drama surrounding Megan's crush, and was brought back to my own high school experience. I'm giving this book 4 stars because there was excessive character descriptions that seemed unnecessary and only functioned as filler. All in all, this is a great listen for readers of any age.
This book was outstanding as far as content is concerned, but I found it quite annoying that the narrator overpronounced "what," "when," and "where" (pronounced like hwat, hwen, and hwere with the H's overly emphasized) Those words pop up quite frequently in this book, so it was irksome to hear his exaggerated pronunciations so often.
This is one of those cases where a bad narrator was paired with a good story. The narrator speaks too slowly and her attempts at doing different voices for the characters fail miserably. I recommend the story if you can handle the poor narration.
