"wonderfull and frightening at the same time"
This is an amazing read about the way consumer branding works. it's like a roller-coaster - I found it wonderful but also very frightening: any idea you might had about "big brother" is used, and more.
I recommend this book to everybody, certainly if you are a part of this industry but maybe mainly as a consumer - know how you are being brain washed, brandwashed...
"charming"
I guess this was revolutionary for it's time, the amount of references in later sci-fi back to this book is pretty amazing and pretty much worth the read just for them. The Humour is a bit flat, or maybe just too old?!
Stepen Fry is off course, as always, wonderful!
"Wonderful book, top preformance!"
The story by Ken Follett is an enchanting, wonderful story. one of those books you don't want to put down. I found myself listening at any possible moment, sometimes through work... the performance by John Lee is also great - this is probably the best listen I purchased up to date!
"unenjoyable and dusty"
maybe it's already too old of a news by now, but I found this an unenjoyable book, telling me lots of stuff I already know (and I don;t come from this industry).
don't waist your time on it...
"Thats fun!"
Going through the ages with a drink in your hand (or head) is a fun way to go through history.
the last two parts are a bit too long and detailed, making them a bit of a bore. but all in all a fun read!
"Fascinating!!!"
Very comprehensive read, dealing with the full range of human life in the middle ages including politics, culture, religion and chronology.
Very vibrant and existing period in human history, too often dismissed as 'dark' and thus unimportant - now. after this read, I beg to differ!
"Wisdom for leaders"
This is a very interesting theory and read (though not new any more).
Personally I found the financial markets chapters too long and elaborated and at times even self contradicting.
Nevertheless, it is a recommended read mostly to leaders and people-managers; at least if you can take your lessons out of it. but I also recommend it to others...
"Comprihensive and interesting"
For anybody that wants to understand Europe, the political and the social conditions in the continent as a whole and in the different countries - this is a great read!
Well written, comprehensive description of the postwar decades throughout west and east Europe.
I found the last parts on east Europe are especially fascinating!
