Set in a small town in Wyoming this is a modern western mystery series with a touch of dry humor. The narrator is a perfect fit for these characters. A Sherriff with a self-depreciating sense of humor, a female deputy with a kiss my ass attitude and an Indian who refuses to use contractions-what a great mix! Wish the author would write faster!

I've been a fan of Dana Stabenow's books for many years and this is the first tme she's disappointed me. She left the story hanging like the last season episode of Dallas. Shame on you Dana, it's not like you have to force your readers to return by leavng a story unfinished!

Well written and well narrated by a full cast. This is an author to keep an eye on because she's going places. An inside look at the CIA by a former employee written in the guise of fiction, full of black humor and satire. Some readers will think it's over the top but If you've ever worked for the government you will recognize your department in these pages.

The author needs to refer to a website where the listener can see the diagrams etc. referred to in the audio book. The author refers to diagrams the reader can't see. It's very frustrating.

Set in a small Canadian village. I laughed all the way through. A drunken Poet Laureate with a foul mouth, a cafe owned by a gay couple, a bookstore owned by an obese black psychologist, 2 artists who remind me of the Odd Couple and a gentle Chief Inspector with a dry wit. Not politically correct but definately funny and without malice.

Light, funny and well written. The tale (no pun intended) is written from the dog's point of view. Different from most books written by the pet however, this dog actually behaves like a dog, not like a furry human. Jim Frangione is perfect as Chet. I'm looking forward to the next one.
