From the day she arrives at quiet Mica High in a burst of color and sound, the hallways hum with the murmur of "Stargirl, Stargirl." She captures Leo Borlock's heart with just one smile. She sparks a school-spirit revolution with just one cheer. The students of Mica High are enchanted. Then they turn on her.

Little did I know that we would lose such a great actor in John Ritter at such an early age, but we also lost him as a wonderful narrator. Who knew he was so endearing and charming with his voice. It really captured my attention and I loved this story. Definitely worth your time.

    Overall

I was so shocked to read this series after being a big Sookie reader, because while they're similar in the super natural stuff, they're nothing at all alike in terms of the writing...yet both are awesome. I really LOVED this series. Give it a try, read it in order.

I'm a big Sookie fan (however, am not a fan of the HBO series True Blood) so when I found this series in the list of books from Harris, I had to give it a try. So glad I did! Really enjoyed these books and can't wait for more! Read them in order, pretty important.

Few works of literature are as universally beloved as Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Now, in this spellbinding historical novel, we meet the young girl whose bright spirit sent her on an unforgettable trip down the rabbit holeand the grown woman whose story is no less enthralling.

Christine says: "Wonderful...but missing the author's note"
    "Didn't see the point."
    Overall

Yeah, this one was just oh-kay for me. I did finish it but it was somewhat of a struggle. It was dreary all the way through with no bright points or even happy parts to speak of, waste of time if you ask me. Sad really because I had high hopes for it. Don't waste your credit.

Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this book. It's been several months since I read it and I can't remember hardly anything about it. That says something if you ask me. While I was reading it I felt like it dragged on and on but went no where. In Do-Over Land I wouldn't waste the credit.

  • The Time Traveler's Wife

Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was 36. They were married when Clare was 23 and Henry was 31. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future. His disappearances are spontaneous, his experiences unpredictable, alternately harrowing and amusing.

Scott says: "Epic Drama & Love Story through Time Travel"
    "So wonderful, I listened twice."
    Overall

It's one of those books I couldn't put down. It was unusual. The way it twisted and turned was so amazing, lacing together nicely at the end. I listened to the book before seeing the movie. Thank goodness. However, the movie was beautifully done. They managed to put all the important things in the movie. However, it could not compare to the book. I loved it so much, that I listened to it twice in three weeks. My husband thinks I'm crazy.
