"Great Read"
Ha! Reading another in The Women's Murder Club is like revisiting old friends that always find themselves in trouble and suffering the drama of relationships. 10th Anniversary does not disappoint and Carolyn McCormick does an awesome job of narration. Lots of intrigue, romance and suspense make this addition a must read that will keep you up til the wee hours to finish! Highly recommend!
"This Thriller will Not Disappoint!"
Audio is different than print and folks have reasons for each. In the case of Defending Jacob, I found hearing it to be captivating, well read and thoroughly enjoyable.
The character development was phenomenal due to the obvious expertise the author brings to the novel. Most folks distrust the legal system; Defending Jacob gives you many reasons why.
I suppose Jacobs Mother was particularly well developed. The range of emotions a Mom goes through when their child is under suspicion is heart wrenching. Grover Gardner not only captured the legal procedures, he captured the emotions the participants experience.
This is one of the best thrillers I have read and I was up into the wee hours of the morning unable to put it down.
Highly recommend!
"Teacher Grades "Fall Of Giants" "A++""
Fall of Giants by Ken Follett is an amazing audio-book. As a teacher of U.S. History and International Affairs, I would recommend this audio-book as a must for students of World Politics. Fall of Giants provides richly developed characters living through the challenging times up to and through World War I from the various perspectives of Russians, Germans, French, English, Americans and Welsh. Never have I read a more appealing, well researched observation of the period. The stories are engrossing, down to earth, and let the reader see events from various national and cultural points of view. Different from any history audio-book, Fall of Giants brings the loves, conflicts, fears, class beliefs all into understanding of the time. This book is a treasure!
