so, I've never thought that an actually stupid man could have a love affair with an intelligent woman, but Ms. Willig made a believer out of me. I also never really thought about Turnips story before but now that it is written I think it worth while and a great addition to the series. I must say my favorite parts generally involved the Christmas Puddings :)

I am also glad that there wasn't the switching back and forth between time periods thing in this addition. I was getting a little bored with "Whats-her-names" story line.

Only one thing marred this book for me and it was the seemingly forced entrance of Jane Austen into the mix. I am still very confused as to why she was there and what her character added to the story other then getting those of us die hard Jane Austen freaks to look twice at the book.

Oh! And 2 thumbs up for the narrator as well! She was great!!! in some ways she made the story for me!

I am generally not a 1st person plot view fan, but I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The mystery was not the focus of the story, and I liked that. The whole "aristocrat struggling to get by" plot was what had me coming back to it, and I laughed out loud many a time.

The narrator was perfection as well, I believe she just might be Georgie and just never knew till now :)

This was the 1st Karen Robards Book I ever read and I go back to it again and again. The twists and turns in the plot keep the pages turning way past "lights out time" and I'm always biting my nails by the end I am just so nervous.
This is a great addition to any Historical Romance fans collection.

Sigh... I just love Miss. Marple. She is so plain, retiring, knittering grandma-ish character that it is lovely to "watch" her unravel mysteries. The Great thing about Agatha Christie is that I am 9 times out of 10 surprised by the ending. This is what good mystery writing is. One shouldn't be able to tell who the murderer is by the 2 chapter.

I just wish they would make a TV series with all of the short stories of Miss. Marple-that would be the icing on the cake.

And Joan Hickson, is Miss Marple to me! Bravo!

"Dreaming of You" is far and away not only my favorite Lisa Kleypas book but my favorite Historical Romance as well. I am not overly in love with the narrator, I have never felt that Sara had a posh voice, and Dareck most certainly didn't. I felt as if the narrator just used her stalk "voice" and didn't think it through.
However it still gets a full 5 star rating as the story line and intense characters more then make up for any lack on the narrators part.

The story and characters are wonderful, well rounded and developed. I enjoyed listening to about the first half or a little more. I just feel as if it is really drawn out especially as there are, heaven knows, how many sequels/books in the series that follow it. I know the others are about the offspring but still...

Very well done. One of my favorite Christie full length mystery. I love these stories as I don't ever feel as if the writer has dumbed down the mystery for me and I often feel as if I am really solving the mystery right along with Miss Marple as I turn the page. There is a reason she is the reigning queen of mystery.

I adore Lisa Kleypas, my favorite romance author by far and this is one of the best of the best. The only one to top it in my opinion is: Dreaming of You...
The stories may be a little dark at times, but always there is a ray of laughter/love/hope that runs through it all that keeps you coming back for more and more.

I Never saw it coming and that is saying alot. The motive is everything here.

Really what else is there to say? I love the eye to detail, how she brings her characters to life, not just by telling us what they wore and did but by showing us. Really it's the little details that make the difference.
