A small band of survivors is on the run during the zombie apocalypse. Led by a mysterious man with an arsenal of deadly military weapons, they must work together to stay alive. In a desperate attempt to locate other survivors, they find sanctuary in a lone farmhouse, only to discover the surrounding woods hold more dangers than just bloodthirsty undead. Featuring Sasquatch, roving rotters, and even more surprises, Last Stand in a Dead Land is an explosion of cross-genre action.

This story was your pretty average zombie story....until. There were some crazy twists that I just cannot talk about, but it was so unique and fresh that it made the book a real page turner. The ending was perfect and left me feeling like Eric really threw the zombie genre a curve ball. All in all, I want more of Eric Brown.

The dead walk. Now the real battle for Seattle has begun. When a gas leak causes the National Guard to forcibly evacuate the neighborhood, Lester isn't going anywhere. The former dope pusher has a new clientele… the kind that require him to deal lead instead of drugs.

    Story

I won this audio book in a contest. I do a lot of driving so I popped it in and gave it a listen. I expected just another "woke up one morning and millions of zombies were outside" kind of book, but that was not the case. This is a story with substance. It is a story that gradually opens up at a realistic pace, not just at the snap of a finger. The characters are certainly not your traditional heroes. It was a pleasant surprise to find people in this book that no one would think of to be a star of a story. I do not want to give anything up, but I found myself sympathizing with with people that would be considered bad guys if not for the fact that there is a zombie outbreak and they are trying to survive like everyone else. This was well written, had a good story, and left me wondering if there will be more to this story in the future. If I had not have won this audio book, I would have paid good money for it. Fine job Tim. Because of this book, I am anxious to read your other works. This stands out in a sea of undead literature.
