Rincewind is at it again and the Luggage tags along. This is a good book and the reader does a good job with it. However, the recording has a tinny sound, even when the narrator isn't talking directly to the reader. Pratchett has a very fine sense of humor and sometimes strange wit.
I love Grandma Mazure (sp?); she is hilarious.
Lorelei King does a great job voicing each of the characters individually. There is never any confusion over who is talking and she breathes life into all of them.
While the story seems to be Burke at his best, it is hard to listen to this Hammer read. I definitely prefer Will Patton's readings of previous Burke novels. I find it hard to understand Hammer a lot of the time and the characters voices seem to run together. Hammer seems to be trying way too hard to sound Cajun. I hope the next one is better.
