Narrator good but plot and writing style really annoying. Do not waste a credit. Too much "chick lit" and too little story. Everything too pat.
Three fourths of the narration was fine but about one fourth of the time the narrator harshly spewed out "he said" "she said" etc. It became distracting and soon found myself thinking why in heavens name did the author write this over and over again?
Plot good, story intriguing but narration left something to be desired.
Easy book to listen while also doing another activity such as gardening. Nice it was narrated by Carol Burnett herself.
You can hear the emotion in her voice when she describes events in her life that have been difficult for her. You feel like a friend is speaking to you.
Laugh and yes cry a little too.
Plot predictable, character development shallow and narrator totally annoying. If Barbie the doll could talk she would sound like the character Daisy in this audiobook. Don't waste a credit. You will be able to pick the paperback up for free in the near future is my bet.
Have been an audible listener since 2005 and this is one of my top five books ever! The characters are richly developed, the plot mesmerizing and on top of it all I learned a great deal of factual medical, historical, geographical and political information. The narration was pitch perfect and complimented the listening experience. I hated for this book to end.
No real plot, need narrator who can correctly pronounce names of cities (Spokane) and "sex scenes" are straight out of a paperback romance novel. Do not waste a credit on this one.
