Call it silly, but I like stories to be edited and clean. One sentence, Jane has only a brother and sister, another, she has brothers who have taught her to fight. One sentence, Sam ran out of the house shirtless, the next, his silk shirt is wet with the rain.
It seemed as if the narrator struggled to perform the range between the male and female voices. (listen before buying)
Lastly, I think the author tried to write a murder/romance, but ended up with a juvinile premise of four friends and a list, a mentally disturbed person, who doesn't really fit until the last few minutes and low-budget soft-porn. And, everything happens in a three-week timeline that is not believable.
