fun, improbable, light
I enjoyed the characters and the author's way of introducing them and filling out their character. Again the heroine acts out right stupid and the device to explain such stupidity is weak. But overall I enjoyed this story.
The author has a very interesting and surprising story with real people and like real people they have good and bad characteristics. You start off feeling one way about a character and as the story unfolds you often change your opinion. It kept my interest through out the story. There were a few illogical actions or I should say not representative of real people but a good story.
The realization that the man she thought was her husband wasn't.
The author works hard to come up with reasons why the heroine doesn't just shoot deadly monsters and her ability to fight increases and decreases based on the plot and is not logical.
Narrator was good. She has the right voice and inflection to make the story interesting.
It is a fun listen if you don't have a really good book to listen to or read.
This was a predictable and often repeated story line. The main character tells one reporter who is killed and she doesn't think to go back and tell the New York times the story again with the caution the first reporter was killed. Also this author seems to have forgotten there is a internet. The character could have recorded or written the story and uploaded it to fifty newspapers, TV stations, CNN, Fox News, you tube, etc. Using the plot device that the character can't get the story out is ludicrous in the modern world.
all of them
