I decided to give this one a listen after listing to Shogun. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get into this one. I’ll probably give it another try sometime, but for now it just didn’t do it for me.
I have a 6 year old and 10 year old. Neither of them loved this book but they both found it interesting enough to listen to it all the way through. For the 6 year old that’s saying something. It was funny and I didn’t mind listening to it either.
It didn’t really capture the imagination as much as I had hoped. It tells a lot of stories about Steve’s life but not necessarily the story of his life. It’s supposed to be more of an insight to how he thought more than the story of his life. As the author had to read into the decisions and life events a great deal, I found that it was comprised more of opinion than fact. However, it was still interesting.
It's kind of a weird story. It's hard to get into and follow. It's worth it though, the series is awesome!
I wish there was a second book! A great insight into Japanese culture. I kind of wish I was a samuri.
One of my all time favorites! This book is a work of art, I wish there was a series or at least a second book.
Good book, ass kicking reacher. It wasn't to hard to guess the "who did it", as the cast of characters was small. However, it was still a good listen and I'll listen to the next in the series.
That was an extremely one sided argument.
A book giving the other side of the argument
