If you could sum up The Nightingale Legacy in three words, what would they be?

The book is enjoyable, entertaining and fun.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I couldn't chose a favorite, but there is a trio of male servants that are fun to keep up with while they try to rid Mount Hawke of unwanted females.

What about Monica Buckley’s performance did you like?

She is soft spoken and still puts energy into the books. The only thing that would have made it better is if the males had more manly voices.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed at several places, and there is a section that brought me to tears. This books hits all emotions all across the board. You hate the villain, love the right characters and constantly want to keep listening to see what is going to happen next.

    Any additional comments?

Out of the Legacy Series, The Nightingale Legacy is may favorite. I love how the characters come in from the first book and become a part of this one. Honestly, I am not a big fan of Catherine Coulter, but out of the books I have read and listened to this one is the BEST hands down!

There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Would you consider the audio edition of 14 to be better than the print version?

I have never read the book. I purchased the audio edition based on previous reviews.

What was one of the most memorable moments of 14?

The most memorable moment of is how he met Zela (Not sure if I spelled her name right) and there are many others, but I don't want to spoil it!

What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Each character in the book has a very distinct voice and personality brought to life by Mr. Porter! It was so much fun to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were several places that I was snickering and one place I did cry.

    Any additional comments?

I was apprehensive about buying an audiobook from a book I have never read. I was really shocked at how wonderful the story is, the charecters come to life with the help of an awesome narrator! Every time I thought I knew where the story was going there was a new twist. Just when things seem average, there is a surprise. It is a GREAT book! Very much worth the credit!

    "Loved it!"
    Overall

This is one of my favorite Julie Garwood books. It is fun to hear the story come to life while listening to it. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because it seems to take quite a while to get used to the narrators accents. Other than that, the book is perfect :)
