"Enjoyed the story but not the sound quality"
I listed to this book on my commute to and from work. It was a nice distraction.
I enjoy an "angsty" romance and this story fit the bill.
Someone without an East Coast accent. I found it distracting.
Not applicable. Sinnerman is part of a series and I have already read the other books.
The sound quality was an issue for me when listening to this book. At times the readers voice seemed to fade a bit as though he turned his head away from the microphone.
"Loved the story but the narrator drove me nuts!!"
I like all of the books by Mary Calmes and this one in no exception. My only complaint is about the narrator. He voiced the main character fine but several of the other secondary characters sounded like Muppets. I found the strange voices distracting and annoying. I'll never purchase an audio-book featuring this narrator again.
"Loved the story - disliked the narrator"
I really enjoyed this story. It was an enjoyable friends to lovers romance and fun to listen in short increments during my daily commute. I would purchase books by Ashlyn Kane again. My issue was with the narration.
The narrator changed his voice as he read for various characters and I found this very distracting. It was particularly distracting because he voiced the characters as though they were caricatures of themselves. All of the female characters sounded like they might if you were making fun of how teenage girls speak to each other. It was annoying and not all young women up-talk. I liked the book enough to download the ebook and deleted the audio book.
