"Was skeptical but really liked it!"
I thought the narration was really good, lots of different characters but you could tell who each one was. The book had some humor, which is always good. The heroine was really likable. The story weaved the near past and the present but it was done well and wasn't confusing. I really enjoyed The Rook and hope there is a sequel on the horizon.
""ugh""
I can only agree with the previous reviews, I like Greg Iles books. I hated the narration. Horrible fake southern accent. When he read for the women, it was like chewing glass to listen to it: screeching, high pitched and irritating.
"The Dirty Little Secrets Club"
Really poor dialogue. The story has a pretty good premise, but I couldn't get over the exchanges b/w characters. The narrator does a nice job.
