"Not all Bad...but"
I have been a fan of the "Women's Murder Club" series and I also enjoyed the television show (RIP). This was my first audiobook for the series and it was lackluster at best. The voice of the characters was barely discernable from one to another and felt unmotivated. I understand this is fluff writing, but it is enjoyable, but the listening was not what I expected. Needs better phrasing and the pronuciation is too upper-crust for a cop. Better luck next time, but I will by the paper instead.
"Was pleasantly surprised...."
I actually enjoyed this story. The narrator is not the best, but if you can get past that point, the listening is enjoyable. Good summer read or for light listening.
"Cute..."
Wrapped up nice and tidy....this is not "deep" listening or a mind-bending story...was predictable, but still enjoyed it for the entertainment if provided.
"Read before seeing the movie..."
At first I was not convinced, I actually started over because I felt as if I had missed something or was confused. With further listening, I was sucked into a world that mirrored my own childhood from Claire's perspective and found the love bittersweet. The ending was not as I expected, but does life end as you expected? Worth the read/listen and also worth an open mind. This is not Science-Fiction, Space Alien kind of reading. This is for looking outside of the box at the posibilities and dificulties of love.
"DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!"
I purchased this book this morning in hopes of having something decent to listen to for my day at work. Well I was so turned off by the narration that I actually could not even get through the first hour of this book. Mr. Dufris makes every word sound vulgar and I felt uncomfortable listening to him slaughter this book. I was not expecting stellar writing, but I did want and easy listen and this was anything but. I am tempted to write Audible for a credit refund.
"Ummm....."
As many listeners(readers) I was thrilled with the first adaptation. At first listen I was thrown off and my equillibrium took quite some time to recover. Brendan Frasier took some getting used to, but it seemed he caught his stride by the end of the story. I would be careful next time to take a listen before, I buy, but overall, if listening purely for story sake, it was good and I will purchase the next. Just not sure if it will be something I can actually turn the page of or something I can listen too.
