"Brilliant"
Simply brilliant. Very well read by the two narrators, and a great tale. Surely this is destined to become a classic. One of my top ten favorite books of all time.
"Another scorcher..."
I can only reiterate what I and others have mentioned in other reviews. That being, this is a great show. This episode is just another example (in a long line of examples), of YML at it's goofy greatest. Great tech stuff that runs the gamut, and great humour. Well worth your time!
"Not enough bang for my buck"
I subscribed to this show for one month, and while it was at times interesting, I personally didn't find enough value for my nickel. Once a week for 45 minutes or so... just wasn't enough for my dollar. I could read Mac Central, or some other Mac news sites and collect more info, and for free in the same amount of time. I can't see myself re-subbing unless the length of the show or format completely changed.
"Casual yet informative!"
If only all tech shows were this accesible... Is it prefect? Probably not... but for my money it's the perfect balance of information and technology. Everyhing is delivered in an slightly off-kilter and
humourous fashion. The true hallmark of a tech show is not that it can be listened to, but rather than it can be listened to again and again.
"It's like dinner with friends"
While this show prides itself on being a "news" show in a lot of ways, quite often it feels more like having dinner with a group of friends. There's a very conversational feel to the show that makes listening to it really enjoyable. Aside from having many important Mac personalities on to talk about the Mac universe, user input is solicted from the people who participate in show's IRC room - adding a real time flavour to show.
If there was one caveat, it might be that some folks would find the content (on ocassion) to be too much for younger listeners. But even at it's "worst" the show is always funny, and the reins are always pulled back before it goes completely off the tracks. This is a great listen, and well worth your money.
