I used a credit on this book simply because it was Terry McMillan. I loved all her books. I too could not get much past the narration. There were too many different people and constant, "She said/Bernadette said/Gloria said/ Savannah said" I could not keep track. Terry's voice was too fast and there were no differentiations in the character voices. I would have preferred this book in hard copy, but now I am just disappointed. The story was alright, but nothing to brag about. A bit disappointed. My rating is average or a bit below. Not the typical "Terry" style where you cannot stop listening.

This mother was wise but caring and compassionate. I enjoyed the story and found the daughter Cassie in the next book, "Getting some of her own" I love the auther and wish Audible would get more books from Gwynne Forster. I recommend When twilight comes to anyone. Gread Read...

I felt like I really knew these characters and knew them. Very well written and warm story. I did not want this book to end. I noticed that there were some characters from a previous book, that was cool. I wish Audio would get more books by Gwynne Forster. Bravo! This would make a great movie. Narrator was excellent too.

Slow start and then it got good, but then the end was abrupt and a bit predictable. I did not enjoy this book as much as I did the others she wrote. It was Okay...kinda short too.

I really liked this book. I just wished the end was a bit more detailed, but I guess it was left up to your imagination. The story was warm and inviting and the book was easy to listen to. I really liked the narrator too. I just love Gwynne Forster. Excellent author.

I live in San Diego, so it was fun to read a book that took place in my area. I liked the story and it was entertaining. Recommend.

I really really loved this book. I listened to it on a 7 hour drive and was thoroughly entertained. I was so in to the characters and found parts very heart warming. I enjoy books about family issues. I see this book had mixed reviews, but I enjoyed it very much. I wish that the author would write a sequel. I recommend this book. I will now look for another book by Ms. Forster. I like her style.

This was one of my favorite books I've downloaded so far. It was a very easy listen and just a great story. The narrator had a very pleasant sounding voice and she did fabulously when changing from one person to another. Believable! I wish that the author would write a sequel. In a nutshell, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Simple nice story with ups and downs in the lives of the characters. I may listen to it again, which is something I rarely do.

I enjoyed the added music at times and I enjoyed the narrator. Cute story line and added twists. I enjoy this author and I wished the book was longer as it kept me entertained.

Great Book, Well Written and Great Narration. I will buy all the books from these authors. I find them very engaging and easy to listen to. This book kept my interest and I did not want it to end. I am 100 percent satisfied with my purchase. Very enjoyable listen. Great story line and characters. You won't be Sorry!
