"Best so far"
So while not a DIEHARD discworld fan, I do enjoy Pratchett's work and this was my fourth in the series but by far the best one so far! Each one is pretty free standing and while The Color of Magic is the first one written, no one says you HAVE to start with that one...Start with MORT and you'll for sure read more of them!!!
"A more mature version of Potter"
So I hate comparing literary works to each other but it usually gives people the best idea of whether or not they will like a book. This book isn't as cute and quaint as the Potter series...its more edgy. Def the best young fantasy book i've read in a while.
"Good Book but Not usual Grisham"
If you're looking for a 'normal' Grisham book a la The Firm, The Pelican Brief, etc. you've come to the wrong place. Its a great book however but it never really takes off...I kept waiting for some action but nothing really happened.
"Great Story"
It isn't Steinbeck or Faulkner but for what it is i.e. a popular novel it is a GREAT book. I really enjoyed it, one of Patterson's best!
"Not my favorite."
Keep in mind that I'm not King's biggest fan when reading my review. This is only my third Stephen King book (also read Bag of Bones and Dreamcatcher (both of which I really enjoyed)) but I can't seem to get into the book. Normally I can't wait to hear the next 30 minutes of a book now I just can't wait till the end of the month so I get another 2 credits to buy another book. Who knows maybe I'm missing something. The story is very well written and you can truely picture the setting but as I said, I can't get into the story.
"Great novel"
45hours!? At first I thought this was going to be a very long yarn that repeated itself but it got good review so I got it. IT's a GREAT book! Really feels like a non fiction work as everyone is saying starting off in the 1950s right at the creation of the CIA and goes on to...somewhere (I haven't finished it yet:)...
"Good Enough"
If you're looking for a good 'law mystery' go for Grisham...But if you're tired of always being in the court room this one is a nice change of pace - especially if you live in New York and you have ever been to or go to the Hamptons!
"Overall Good"
Pretty straight forward thriller. The narrator is a little annoying with his fake accents...But overall enjoyable. If you like typical Grishman & Crichton novels, you'll like this.
