There is no plot in this book at all. Its two people who want each other but they have different sexual tastes. They try to meet a mutual ground. It wouldn't be so bad if I liked the charaters, but I don't. They are not believable. Don't get me wrong, the explicit scenes are a turn on. I'm not a prude, but I like books that go somewhere and tell me something and this one doesn't. It's just enough story to hold the sex scenes together.
I'm trying to get through the series because everyone raves about these books, but it's hard. I've been told there is more plot and the books get more interesting... but I'm part of the way through the second and it's just becoming more far-fetched.
She does a passable job. It's the book in this case, not the reader. She has trouble with male voices and can't do accents. I wouldn't seek her out as a narrator.
It's hot. It may even have a few tips. I'm thinking about some metal balls myself. If you need some help in the bedroom, this could give you a couple ideas. I'm not into dominate/submissive relationships from either side though.
Buy it for the sex if that's what your looking for, but don't for a second mistake this for a good book. It's just not.
This book was so funny I was laughing in public with my earphones in. People looked at me like I was nuts. It's not sophisticated humor, mostly jokes about bonking. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't laugh at this bawdy farce, because clearly he or she is wound too tightly. If you can get your ear around British slang, it's well worth the listen. Very Funny indeed.
