An incredible but true account of achieving one of the most awe-inspiring midlife physical transformations ever

In October 2006, the night before he was to turn forty, Rich experienced a chilling glimpse of his future. Nearly fifty pounds overweight and unable to climb the stairs without stopping, he saw where his sedentary lifestyle was taking him. Most of us look the other way when granted such a moment of clarity, but not Rich.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, most of my friends would enjoy an inspiring story as much as I do, did!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rich Roll! Close second is his support team, they were awsome as well.

Have you listened to any of Rich Roll’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. I'd never heard of him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, but it did help me with my winter blahs...makes me realize how important finding ways to exercise is.

At last, together in one collection, are Lisa Scottoline's wildly popular Philadelphia Inquirer columns. In her column, Lisa lets her hair down, roots and all, to show the humorous side of life from a woman's perspective. The Sunday column debuted in 2007 and on the day it started, Lisa wrote, "I write novels, so I usually have 100,000 words to tell a story. In a column there's only 700 words. I can barely say hello in 700 words. I'm Italian." The column gained momentum and popularity.

Fay says: "Not sure why I didn't love it."

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Only as a "bathroom book"...something to fill in a few minutes here and there.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The down to earth mood, I felt like I got to know the author.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    No.
