It was great to see the first fight scene with our newest Druid. It was a great way to show the work of 12 years not written. Perhaps though my favorite woment was when she first went hunting with the boys. My three favorite characters, humor, and both Kevin and Luke Daniels really allow you to feel like you are there with the charecters.
Contact with Gear and when they are working on finishing the tattoos. She wants to drop the facade but he asks, "please, just wait until I finish" (paraphrased). It's not that he didn't love her, it's that their love was strong and they needed to wait just a little longer, finish this one tough task, ensure her safety before he could risk feeling those feelings. And they did wait. Passion is great, but when circumstance force you to hold it in, to wait, that's when you feel everything. The anticipation, the love and concern leading up to the final release.
Not my favorite "Iron Druid" book and it still gets 5 stars. If that doesn't show a great series I don't know what would
I would listen to this over and over. I'm sure it's a fine book on its own but as it fits in the overall story it brought me low and picked me up again. All the humor and action from the rest of the series with a few moments that really pull at the heart strings thrown in. I love this series and this book shines particularly.
Can't pick, love them all.
I've heard the whole "Iron Druid Chronicles" but nothing else from Luke Daniels. I promise I will be looking for more of his now though. His performance in Hunted was possibly his best yet and that's saying something.
Yes. I found mindless jobs at work, I cooked, and did the dishes all so I wouldn't be disturbed as I made my way through this book. I'm not proud that I shooed my wife away but some times you just need a moment to appreciate the story. She got diner and a clean sink... It all worked out fine... She was only briefly concerned about the tears. I used onions as my cover.
I love this series. I love this book. Kevin Hearn is great and so is Luke Daniels. Together they are unstoppable.
I wasn't sure what made it so good at first but after listening to several books I think the narrator did a fantastic job. The narrator has a great take on the main charecters sense of humor (which is my other favorite part).
Ghengis Khan... When you hear it, you'll know :)
His take on the humor of the author, as I stated before. Also, his take on Auberon reminded me of the much loves "Doug" from the movie UP. Well, a very grown up version of Doug but it worked for me.
"It's time to stop running". "fight or flight... There comes a time when you have to choose" or "just another story about a man and a dog.. And some angry gods, witches, werewolves, vampires and most of all Druids". Honestly I like the second one best though. Or something like that.
Really, really excellent book with maybe even better narration. It is a great example of why I got hooked on audiobooks.
