I was disappointed in the book. I really had higher expectations based upon a number of the reviews I read here. Nevertheless I did learn some things from the listen about the events around WWI so it was worth the time.
The was an excellent listen all around. The narrator did an excellent job, the story was great. It was hard to stop listening to this one. Highly recommended.
The story was very interesting, the narration was great. Very much enjoyed this book plus learned a wealth of information about the 50's and 60's.
The presentation was well done. The story covers more of the political nature of the period rather the business side. If you tuned to that aspect you'll enjoy the book. If you're not then you may be disappointed.
The story was good, well written book. The editing distracted you from the book. Parts were very choppy.
This book really starts with a bang! Well thought out, great story line. I'm hooked for the entire series. Hey Mark Tufo, thanks, I'm thoroughly entertained!
Okay I had to kind of adjust myself at the beginning of this book. The main character is very 'snarky' and that's not something you normally expect from a zombie novel. However, by the time I was a few chapters in, I started 'getting to know' the character, and really started to like him. By the end of the book, well, I went and bought book two. I thought maybe book two would lose me, but turns out I enjoyed book two more than book one. Book two seriously starts to tie up loose ends and explain some unanswered questions right away. GOOD story line! So here I am today, going back for book three. I'm hooked. Looks like I'm in this for the long haul.
The topic is handled much better in other books I have listened to. I also had trouble with the narration. I gave it a couple of stars as I did learn some new items on the topic.
Topic was very interesting. Narration was also done well. Interesting to make the connection of what was going on during the period when it was written and some of it's meaning.
Very interesting in the 1st section about the times around Jesus and how turbulent they were. The remaining sections had good comparisons of the spiritual readings to what was historically available. Makes you think.
It gives you an insight into the Plains Indian culture. Kind of hard to get through.
