That is the best way to describe this book. At first I was a little confused about the time period, and that made it hard to follow. Then when the internet was mentioned that helped. I gave it 3 stars because I did listen all the way through (mainly due to the narrator) but not sure I would recommend this audio book. If I had been reading rather than listening to the book, I think I would have abandoned it.
I was looking for something light....unfortunately this story was too light in that it was completely predictable. You knew exactly what was going to happen, and the characters were unbelievable. Seriously, Ali is 38 and has been friends with Noah since middle school and has no clue he has feelings for her? The author should have stuck with the flashbacks where the characters felt more real and published as a YA book.
I have never written a review, but felt I must for this one. It is a compelling story beautifully narrated. I have listened to this story more than once, and will surely listen to it again. Well worth the time and money.
