A hand-picked cadre of warriors, they had the fierce courage of their Scots forefathers, combined with the stealth and cunning of the Indians who lived beside them in the wilderness. Battling the French in a no-holds-barred combat, they forged a new brand of honor, became a new breed of men - MacKinnon's Rangers. Iain MacKinnon had been forced to serve the British crown, but compassion urged him to save the lovely lass facing certain death at the hands of the Abenaki. He'd defied his orders, endangered his brothers, his men and his mission, all for a woman. But when he held Annie's sweet body in his arms, he could feel no regret.

What did you love best about MacKinnon's Rangers, Book 1?

Have listened to all three of the McKinnon historical books and loved listening to everyone. Kaleo Griffith could read the phone book and I would listen, but he brought these stories to light for me. I do not listen to a lot of historical romances but certainly would listen to more if he narrated. That being said, Pamela Clare is one of my favorite authors and her books are always on my auto buy list.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes!

    Any additional comments?

    More Kaelo please!

It’s a place like hundreds of others, nothing special, really. But for four friends—all born and raised in this small Wisconsin town—it is home. And now they are men, coming into their own, or struggling to do so. One of them never left, still working the family farm that has been tilled for generations. But others felt the need to move on, with varying degrees of success. One trades commodities, another took to the rodeo circuit, and one of them even hit it big as a rock star. And then there’s Beth, a woman who has meant something special in each of their lives.

This debut novel is going down (even in March) as the best new book of 2014 in my world! Absolutely loved the richness of the writing, they lyricism of the words and the strength of the characters. I ALSO loved the fact that each main character had a different narrator as that made this a "movie in my mind". I could see each of them because the narrators gave them so much individuality. I plan to tell everyone I can to either read this book or listen to it. Thanks for such a well written and well narrated book!

She is only nineteen. She is his new stepfather’s daughter. She is still nave and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother. But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Have listened to several of the other books by Abbie Glines and although New Adult is not really my cup of tea, I enjoyed the past books I listened to. Not this time. I actually could not finish listening so my review is not worth much. But the narrator for the female role whined, and I hated the female character so much, I did not finish! Sorry

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

John Grisham has found his way again! I had read a couple of his later books and felt they were so-so, but oh boy, was this one GREAT. Michael Beck was the perfect narrator and the story was heart wrenching and yet compelling to listen to. This is about a 20 hour listen, but it did not feel like it was that long. John Grisham takes us back to rural Mississippi in the 1980's and as far as I'm concerned, all his books should come from there. The characters felt familiar and comforting. While listening, I could picture every venue talked about and during courtroom scenes, I was there.

Whether you are a reader or listener, this is a great book. At least in my opinion!

If you could sum up Beautiful Player in three words, what would they be?

Great erotic romance but with lots of humor.

What did you like best about this story?

Sebastian York as the narrator. I would listen to him read ANYTHING!

Have you listened to any of Grace Grant and Sebastian York ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I had not listened to them together before. I had heard Grace Grant with other narrators but now I will only want her to read with Sebastian York.

What disappointed you about My Bluegrass Baby?

I felt absolutely no connection to the characters in this book to the point that I did not finish it. I have heard good things about this author but had never read her before. I am not sure if I didn't like it because of the narrator of the content of the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Bluegrass Baby?

    There were none

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Amanda Ronconi?

Someone with more personality in her voice and didn't sound 15

    Any additional comments?

I am sorry that I just couldn't finish and I'm sure fans of Molly Harper love her books. I just didn't get it.

Would you try another book from Dee J. Adams and/or Eve Bianco?

Dee Adams yes. Not sure about Eve Bianco

What didn’t you like about Eve Bianco’s performance?

I enjoyed the story very much and thought Eve Bianco did a great job differentiating the voices. I knew who was speaking as soon as I got into the characters. I have one beef though. You could audibly hear her swallow throughout the book, as if when she was reading, she needed to swallow frequently! I would think that in some sort of editing, one could edit out those noises. It was very distracting and I almost didn't finish listening to the book because of it. Just a personal peeve, but for me very distracting.

Where does Suspect rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have read or listened to almost all Robert Crais books, and think this is one of his best!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Suspect?

Loved all the great bonding, dog moments!

    Any additional comments?

The narrator was great, the story was great. Even though I guessed who the bad guys were halfway through the book, it certainly did not change the way I felt about this book! Loved it!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I usually love anything that Susan Mallery writes and although I know this is a "Woman's Novel" as opposed to a Romance, I am intriqued by the plot. What I am truly having a hard time with is the narrator's voice. She sounds the same no matter which character is talking; sometimes she talks way too fast, and her voice sounds too young for the characters.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Barefoot Season?

Still reading this so not quite sure yet

Would you be willing to try another one of Sarah Grace???s performances?

    NO

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    maybe
