The narrator has his character down by now in the series. The story was a roller coaster. I had no idea how it was all going to end.
Micheal is the best. Over the course of the books he is human, he is every man, he flawed but he loves his friends and family. He get through what he has to and still can have a sense of humor that makes the hard points soften. But he is someone who can get behind and cheer for.
Ummmm...not favorite but I will never forget. Paul and the abandoned house. Really well done. But yeah I can't more. It's in my head forever!
I was a little upset at end. I really need another book. I don't know if this is it for the series. I don't want to give anything away. I understand the ending but I would like more.
Mark Tufo best zombie book series next to Rhiannon Frater. Money, time, imagination and emotions well spent. Loved it. Getting everyone I know into him.
The action and comic book feel of the story was great. Total fantasy but had a nice amount of grounding in a bit of everyday. But definitely a super hero story.
A little more character development, maybe a little bit more development of the sub stories.
It was great to have both a female and male narrator to read the characters it added to the quality of the audiobook.
I was engaged with the story. A real action story.
I didn't purchase the print version. But I really enjoyed the audio version of this book. The story was well developed and I enjoyed the character's journey.
Gin for sure. A strong but complicated female character.
Loved she voice and her characterization of the character.
Take a drink of Gin and fall into a dark adventure.
Love the audio version! Johanna Parker is amazing!
I would compare it the early books. Sookie is changing on the inside. It's another big crossroads for Sookie.
The girls at the strip club and the birthday surprise!
It made me almost cry. Harris almost gave me heart attack!
Can't believe it is ending. Only one more book in the series!
It was an engrossing story. Enjoyed the ride the author took me on. Love the trouble Sookie gets into and the play between Bill and Eric. Worth the purchase price.
I would compare these books to Harry Potter. The reason why? It's an orphan with powers but it has sexiness and adult problems. All cushioned with action and fantasy. The books weave a larger story. Sookie's place in the world and what she wants out of life.
She is Sookie. Love the performance.
I laughed, held my breathe and just sank into this story.
Overall it is a hugh midway selection. Entertaining enough. The plot and the characterization is strong. Enough humor and action for a entertaining listen. I was a little disturbed by one or two similes used by the author. I found them a bit homophobic. But after re-listening to the passages I am going to excuse them as part of the character. Ex army guy, suburban dad, so I guess in line with the character. But gave me pause a moment. There is some strong prose in this piece. The author has done a great job at adding to the canon of paranormal/zombie novels. Will be buying the sequel because I need to know what happens to them all.
I like the characters. The rye humor of author.
His performance was causally animated and lively. His reading was natural and real.
Sometime the only person for the job, when zombies attack is Dad!
