Worth the read, though a bit slow at times, hence the age of the book! I have to say I hadn't really thought about gay/lesbian history much, but I do now!!!
Jill Redfield does a great job, in both books!
TRYING to create drama to continue this series really didn't work! It tries, but just doesn't have that kick that the first one did!!
Love this book! I had heard a bit about these children, but this book goes into alot of details about the fate of these kids, although sad, an interesting part of American history.
I found this book to be a good, light read! I love it when authors read their own books, it gives the book such a flare!
I am a long time knitter, and although I loved the stories/facts in this book, it just brushed the surface! I felt there was too much unsaid!
I could not stop listening, I had to know what was going to happen! I spent alot of time in the south as a child and this book brought me right back!! The readers were fantastic! Even though I loved this story, the author's note at the end really put the frosting on the cake!! A must read!!!
I didn't know much about the Amazon, or it's early explorers, so I found this interesting and worth listening.
I can't say as I'm a fan of Oprah's pics, so I wasn't even going to listen, but now I can't wait to hear the rest!
Loved this story, a little bit of everything, mystery, romance, fun....Caroline Lee did a wonderful job reading!
Fantastic listen! There is so much controversy around pural marriage, it was great to hear about it from someone who lived it! Laurel Merlington's reading was superb!
