If you could sum up Life After Death in three words, what would they be?

Articulate & well written Damien Echols takes us through his difficult experience. Somehow he kept hope alive through it all. "Hope is the thing with feathers" as Emily Dickinson said. It is a fragile thing that somehow stays alive despite the storms of life. I don't know how he kept hope alive. I don't think I could of, I really don't. That feathered bird would have been stomped out in the first year. If Damien writes another book, I'm reading it.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When the lawyer asked "will this make Lorri Davis leave me alone?" I cheered. Yea Lorri!

A strange doll is left on Tommy Phan's front steps, stranger than anyone could ever imagine. Later he hears an odd popping sound and is intrigued to find it coming to life. Tommy pursues the thing as it scrambles away, and then is pursued by it as it evolves from a terrifying and vicious manikin into a larger, more formidable opponent bent on killing him. What in the world is this thing and why is it after him?

Where does Tick Tock rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really liked this book. It is one of my Koontz favorites not because of the storyline as much as it scared the heck out of me! I had a cold and so had to sleep in the guest room where I listened to this audio book late into the night. Being alone, on NyQuil and listening to this was a mistake. I had to jump up to turn on the lights and then had to laugh at myself. There are certainly a lot of parts in this book that are too hard to listen to sitting or laying down. Pacing back and fourth while chewing on my nails is how I listened to it. Sick or not this book had my blood thumping through my veins.

Create an irresistible "Positioning Statement" that will make everyone want to know more about you! The cliche "You never get a second chance to make a first impression" is absolutely right. And the way you answer the question, "What do you do for a living?" usually determines whether or not people will want to listen to what you have to say. Here's how to get them engaged immediately.

This book was spot on. Great presentation, great advice and on the mark. I am now going to buy this author's other audio book.

First, the unthinkable: a security breach at a secret U.S. government facility unleashes the monstrous product of a chilling military experiment. Then, the unspeakable: a night of chaos and carnage gives way to sunrise on a nation, and ultimately a world, forever altered. All that remains for the stunned survivors is the long fight ahead and a future ruled by fear—of darkness, of death, of a fate far worse.

I wish the ending would have been different it caught me by surprise and I felt abruptly cut off. Yet, this was a long, long tale. Guess my not wanting it to end should tell you how good it was.

To five-year-old Jack, Room is the entire world. It is where he was born and grew up; it's where he lives with his Ma. Room is home to Jack, but to Ma, it is the prison where Old Nick has held her captive for seven years. Through determination, ingenuity, and fierce motherly love, Ma has created a life for Jack. But she knows it's not enough...not for her or for him. She devises a bold escape plan, but what she does not realize is just how unprepared she is for the plan to actually work.

It took me about 10 minutes to get use to the child's narration but then it was adorable, that adoration quickly turned to dread, pity then horror as I realized the mother's plan. I wish it would of ended a little different but not to bad, it took us full circle. The tooth sucking was disgusting ( as you will see) yet it was so like a child to do it and like most things kids put into their mouths when Mom's not around it was gross stuff.
