yes,I love Lorelei's books, I love Scarlet as the narrator on the earlier audio books, I just couldn't get in to Vanessa Caine voice. She makes the male voice sound to immature, and I just think a rough rider should sound a little rough.
This one started a little slow to me, but I kept with it... and it was worth the wait.
This is a very different book then what I'm used to listening to. I thought the main male character had way to much powder. I wish it would have shown him needing the main female character a lot more. I will look for more by this author.
90% of the audio-books I purchase are for my entertainment while I'm walking or driving . I loved this audio book. I usually go through at least three or four books before I find a winner (right story, author, and narrator). The narrator was great and that means a lot to me. This is a winner on all three fronts. My favorite character's are Bold Head and Prince. Bold Head was very funny and Prince is the black sheep of the family but he is respected on the streets and by his family , in my opinion well deserved. I'm going to look for more by this author and narrator.
I really enjoyed this story. It was a real page turner. The only thing I had a problem with ......to much designer this and designer that, and to much high end ticketed item to define the character.
I love the dialogue between Roxy and Black.. without her this may have been a 3 star listen for me. The only reason I sought this one out is because of the narrator and like always he did an excellent job.
First time listener, I thought I'd really like this author, but it was way to much sex ...so much to the extent that I had to start skipping the sex scenes to get through. If you take out some of the sex I would have given this a strong 4. The narrator was good.
This was just ok for me, I read A light to My Path 1st, and I liked it a little bit better than this one. . They are both Christian based and very entertaining. I gave it four stars because it kept my interest.
I will watch out for more by this author.
I don't know which one is better the story teller or the story writer, both are geniuses in there own right. I hope there's a book 3. Angela Evans series is a hit. This reminds me of J.D.Robb Death series with the touch of romance and mystery.
This was one of the best books I've read/listen and the Christian historical and real aspect of it was great. Held my attention from the first chapter. I will be downing more books by this author. The narrator didn't have a southern accent but because of her talent that was overlooked.
There is a lot of craziness going on with this one, and I loved it. While walking the treadmill at the gym and listening to this book, I lost track of time. Some days I just sat in the car listening to this madness. I needed to know what would happen next. Needless to say I just bought three more from this author. The narrator hit it out the park, looking for more of his work to.
