I could not get into this book. It just seemed to go on and on. When you finally find out what the secret of the students are, you are so ready to put the book down. If the secret was revealed sooner in the book, I think I might have been more interested.
I loved the story line. I also loved the description of the setting. I felt as though I was in NYC the whole time I was reading.
There were a lot of characters as protagonists. Would have been better to have a main one or two.
Believable, engaging, spot-on
Yes, as a matter of fact it did. I looked up information on the NYC people who inhabit the tunnels. I never knew of their existence and took the NYC subways everyday.
Someone who enjoys scientific details. At a point in the book it started to drag on.
Not go into as much of the scientific details as they had.
Story development was very good. The best part of the book was the ending which was very thrilling. The character descriptions were excellent as well.
Would have liked to see more of Agent Pendergast.
I thought that this book was a very good read. The characters, although simply stated in nature, were very enjoyable. The setting for the story was ideal and it was great to read about a small community of folks and become familiar with that lifestyle. The mystery of the crime was captivating. I'd recommend this book to those who are looking for a simply delightful crime story.
