Three people living lives they never wanted, hiding secrets that even those closest to them would never suspect, will find that the past never truly fades away. Even as the terrible consequences of long-ago events crash together in the present and threaten to ruin lives, they will come to the startling realization that they may not want to forget the past at all.

I chose this book because of the narrator. I became familiar with Scott Brick through the Baldacci books. This started slow for me, but turned out to be quite enjoyable!!

Mike Wingate had a rough childhood  —  he was abandoned at a playground at four years old and raised in foster care. No one ever came to claim him, and he has only a few, fragmented memories of his parents. Now, as an adult, Mike is finally living the life he had always wanted  —  he’s happily married to Annabel, the woman of his dreams; they have a precocious eight-year-old daughter, Kat.

Janice says: "Edge of my seat."
    "Great suspense!"

This book was a very suspenseful, edge of your seat book. I thought the reasoning why the characters life was in such danger was a bit out of left field, but all in all a great thriller! Scott Brick ALWAYS brings it.....he is a terrific narrator!

Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened - something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable.

Betsy says: "Ditto - Don't waste your credit."
    "Really liked!"
