Time has passed since the apprentice and his master, Will and Halt, led the Araluens to victory against invaders, and Will is now a full-fledged Ranger with his own fief to look after. The fief seems sleepy - boring, even - until the king is poisoned. Joined by his friend Alyss, Will is thrown headfirst into an extraordinary adventure propelled by fears of sorcery, and must determine who is trustworthy to the king and who is trying to take his throne.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Stuart Blinder?

    The previous narrator was fine.

    Any additional comments?

The narrator should at least keep to the pronunciations of the previous narrator.

This is a spellbinding tale woven of equal parts epic and myth - with a liberal dash of hard science fiction. When a one-way time tunnel to Earth’s distant past, specifically six million B.C., was discovered by folks on the Galactic Milieu, every misfit for light-years around hurried to pass through it. Each sought his own brand of happiness. But none could have guessed what awaited them. Not even in a million years....

Jon says: "About time - I hope we get the rest of Julian May"
"Good book ... but where's the rest of the series?"

If you could sum up The Many-Colored Land in three words, what would they be?

Good book ... but where's the rest of the series? It's a bit of a bummer to not have the rest of the series as audiobooks. This is not a new series, so what's the holdup?

In this stunning sequel to The Golden Compass, the intrepid Lyra finds herself in a shimmering, haunted otherworld, Cittagazze, where soul-eating Specters stalk the streets and wingbeats of distant angels sound against the sky. But she is not without allies: twelve-year-old Will Parry, fleeing for his life after taking another's, has also stumbled into this strange new realm.

Geoffrey says: "The second book in a fantastic trilogy!"
"Good Book - Bad Audio Quality"
    Overall

Good Book - Bad Audio Quality ...

In many parts it sounds as if someone is having a conversation in the next room, or an annoyingly repetitive chirping sound distracts you from the content.

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow. Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time. Crossroads of Twilight is book ten of Robert Jordan's best selling Wheel of Time series.

Robert Eric Koch says: "The Lowest Point of the Entire Series"
"So far the most boring in the series ..."
    Overall

So far the most boring in the series ...
The arguably most significant character: "Rand- The Dragon Reborn" has not made an appearance yet and I'm already two-thirds of the way through the book!
Perhaps it will turn around, but it's difficult to get through and wait to find out what happened following the end of the previous book.
