I once saw a video of Adyashanti and did not enjoy his style. But an audio talk of his came to me as a gift, and I loved it, and so downloaded this book. Maybe I just wasn't ready for his teachings when I saw the video, or maybe his style is different in this book, but in any case, I totally LOVE this book.
I fully agree with the enthusiastic reviews that preceded this one, and can also understand the negative reviews....this book is not for everyone. But I would say that anyone who has been studying and resonating with Eckhart Tolle's teachings, or Gangaji's, would probably find this interesting at minimum, and possibly life-changing, as it has been for me. Each time I listen to it, I am struck by the power of things that I heard previously but suddenly see in a new way. I especially love the way Adyashanti speaks about the experience of living in the enlightened state, and the accessibility of that state to us all. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
I loved the characters, found the story very interesting, suspenseful, and moving. I enjoyed the narration. Really caring about the characters, and having ideas about what was going to happen (which weren't always correct) contributed to the suspense for me.
I have read or heard many of Nicholas Sparks' books, and have enjoyed them all, but this is by far my favorite.
I found the characters interesting and likable, though I didn't love them. The story kept my interest, and I found it enjoyable, though I found the ending a little disappointing.
I was concerned about the narrator, since I found her intonation quirky and rather annoying on the last audiobook of her's that I listened to. However, she did not use that intonation on this book, and I enjoyed her narration, especially after the beginning section.
I've read and enjoyed many books by Nora Roberts, but this one is my favorite so far. I found the story fascinating and very satisfying. I especially loved the main characters, and the way Elizabeth evolved and how she was able to do the things she did.
The narrator was great.
I've never heard an audiobook with such fast speaking, and found the tone annoying at times. But the information given was fascinating and useful in helping me to understand more about what gets in the way of living life the way I want to, and what can be done about it.
Decades ago I was very interested in genetics, but have not kept up at all with the developments in that field. I really liked hearing what has been happening and what the current theories are.
This book has given me more confidence that my strategy of using meridian tapping to free myself of old patterns is an effective one.
I really enjoyed this book, the first by the author that I've read or listened to. I totally loved the narrators voice, and the fluent way she moved from one character to another, each with a distinctive, expressive, and pleasant voice that really fit the character. I found the story very interesting from start to finish, amusing, and very moving, especially toward the end.
