I would definitely read another book by Debora Geary, but Martha Harmon Pardee is the most annoying narrator I've heard in ages.
This is a cute adorable, fluffy romantic story about a fire witch and a hacker. I love the character development, and really am rooting for them. The story makes me feel sappy and romantic, exactly what I wanted.
Absolutely not. Her dramatic pauses were bizarre and confusing. She has pauses that make you think there is a change in scene until you realize it wasn't. She attempts to give some kind of feeling performance that is pretentious and completely inappropriate for the genre of the story. Everything is muted and "understated" and really really annoying. I would honestly have to avoid a book read by this Narrator, even if I loved the author.
No, but it would be a fun book to read.
Keep the author, skip the narrator.
This is in the top 25%. I really enjoyed this second book in the series.
There is not 1 best. It's a good story. It was written well and it had narration. I judge a story based on it sucking me in and not pissing me off. That did this well.
I can't wait until the next one comes out.
After telling my husband about the series he points out that someone owe Stan Lee some money. I don't want to get into that. But if you the like the premise of x-men you will probably enjoy this series in general. Nobody wear costumes and the skills are not quite at super natural. But idea is there. I am also impressed with the political allegory.
If you like political stories, this is also a story for you.
If you like good writing. I recommend.
My headline says it all. The was a wonderful story with complicated characters. It was heartbreaking and funny. But the narrator added to the story.
I can't say that I liked any one part of the story more than others. I did enjoy all the German cursing.
When Mama came to tell Liesel that Max was awake. It was at that moment that you understood how brave Mama was and how truly kind and loving she was.
Death. Because how could you not.
It's not a wasted Credit.
The characters were very one dimensional.
No. It's not really a great book.
Well he made Steele sound like he had abused his voice for year. Didn't much like that.
No. I wouldn't watch it.
It's hard to rate books. I will be reading/listening to the other books in the series. It's not the best book, but I certainly enjoyed listening.
It's pretty comparable to other Nora Roberts trilogies.
What more notable is my least favorite character as performed by K.K. I really didn't like her "Ionna." She made her sound like Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz and it was very disconcerting.
I wouldn't make film of this book.
I have read comments that complained that this book is too predictable. And it's true, there isn't a lot of surprise in it. But it's a romance book. Of course I know how it's going to end. I would have been pretty annoyed if it had ended any other way. In a romance novel, it's not the destination but the journey that counts.
Yes. This was an amazing story with such twists and turns that I'm certain I missed things.
Yes. This is a well crafted story and you really don't know what's going to happen until it happens.
I loved the narration. Having different voices for different characters really added to the richness of the story.
Well definitely the McDonald's story had me in tears laughing.
Sean Runnette does an amazing job with the voices. One part of the story truly made me laugh so hard I couldn't breath, and part of that was Sean Runnette's time and voice.
This series is turning out to be one of the best audio series I have listened to. Top notch.
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend or stranger. The characters were fun and I definitely laughed out loud.
This Kiss. I won't say anything more. But I will say that while I loved this audio book, there were moments where I just had to stop listening because of the intense visceral reaction I was having to parts of the story.
This is always a difficult question. For me, a good Narrator doesn't detract from the story, and that's how I felt about Sean Runnette.
This is a beautiful story. One that I believe will be a classic.
This is a light fun story with a a very likable character. In fact, I really enjoy all of the characters. They tend to be complicated and endearing. I can't wait for the next one.
I live in Albuquerque, so I absolutely love that it takes place in my home town.
I love her characters voices. She makes them come alive.
