Yes, a million times! This was an awesome story, hated for it to end.
My favorite character was Mussie. Her character is older and shows the true outcome of most people who have lived the life she lived.
I would take Tan out. She is intelligent and I would love to teach her so much more!
Yes. It was a pretty interesting book
A little dull but ok I guess.
Good performer . Good at changing tones for characters.
From Girl to Woman
I have no idea. The story line could have been better.
No but Im not really a fan of this one.
Yes. This book shows exactly what the African American society goes through. It also shows it is possible to become something when you felt you were nothing!
IT IS SO REAL! Something I have seen numerous times and someone FINALLY made a book about it!
PHYLICIA RASHAD, how I love this woman!!! Great narrator! All of the other narrators are great too. Terry Mcmillan is always a joy! Carole DeSanti is a new narrator for me. Im unsure of how I feel. Michael Boatman was a great choice!
Yes. This is an amazing insight on the roots of African American people. A lifelong journey!
Kizzy. She was the definition of a real woman.
This book made me laugh, cry, and realize!!
I watched the movie Roots twice. The movies are extremely long but well worth the watch! The book is the same, I LOVE IT!
Lost daughters was a great book. I loved the fact that it taught nemours stories in one awesome book!!
The most interesting was Lorretta and her personality, most of all, the outcome.....The least interesting, ummm idk. This book was great!
Lorretta's life outcome.
THE REAL TRUTH
Idk. Probably Hill himself. He goes through changes and learn his faults. He also works on his faults like a real man!!
When Hill is having a conversation with the elderly couples.
Yes. It showed me a lot that I feel is very informational. I did not cry but I was really in agreance with the whole book!!
Im so ready for ore by HILL HARPER!!
Yes. Im sure I will read it again . It was a great book. It just seemed so realistic!!
Not many others. This is one book that I can actually say I didnt feel like I had already heard the storyline before. The closest book for me would probably be PUSH by Sapphire. Both are very true stories of what a lot of young minority girls go through.
NO. This is my first book by Yolonda Ross but I will be looking into more of her work!!
I would rename the book "I will Survive"
This is an awesome book. Im not great at writing reviews but I reasure you that you will not be dissapointed!!!
